Science World Saves 8% on Electricity Costs
In July 2003, Legend Power Systems Inc. (LPSI) installed an Electrical Harmonizer at Science World in Vancouver, British Columbia to condition the facilities entire electrical load.
Based on the pre-installation audit a 750 amp Electrical Harmonizer was installed.
The results of the installation were monitored and verified by BC Hydro Power Smart Group. Since the installation of the Electrical Harmonizer the following results have been achieved and will be persistent into the future:
* 193,536 kWhrs reduction in annual energy consumption (8.5%)
* Significant extension to the life of lamps and lighting ballast
* Significant reduction in the operating temperature of motor drives and transformers at specified loads
* Reduction in reactive power and total harmonic distortion
Since the installation of the Electrical Harmonizer at Science World in July 2003 the facilities electrical distribution system has operated with optimized efficiency.
