Mr. Orton has over 15 years of technology industry experience functioning in senior sales & marketing management roles including tenures at Bell Canada’s satellite communications group as VP Business Development & Marketing, Rogers Communications, and Glentel, leading the sales and marketing roll out of the MSAT Mobile Satellite system. Areas of focus have included successful new product, and service launches in highly competitive markets, marketing leadership, corporate and channel sales team leadership, international mergers and acquisitions, cost saving process design, investor relations, and business plan development. In addition to work throughout Canada and the US, David has extensive business development experience in China, India, and Thailand where he worked with large OEMs and NGOs, developing local channel partners and leveraging Industry Canada’s ICT Trade support. David is the father of two, has his private pilot’s license, and holds a BA in Asian Studies from the University of British Columbia.
