Paul Maritz

Mr. Maritz has 32 years experience in all facets of the electrical industry.

Beginning in 1994 and continuing until his involvement with Legend Power, Mr. Maritz owned Goodhope Electric Ltd., an electrical contractor and subcontractor to Jim Collins & Associates, Quantum Lighting Inc. and Can -Tec Electrical Services in the greater Vancouver, B.C. area. During this time, he designed lighting retro fit projects under the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authoritys Power Smart incentive program in various commercial, industrial and residential circumstances.

Mr. Maritz emigrated to Canada from Cape Town, South Africa in 1993 after successfully selling his business interests there.

1987 to 1993, Mr. Maritz owned and operated Electricon Electrical Contractors, a company that employed 60 electricians and staff members and provided general electrical services to commercial, industrial and housing developments.

1980 to 1987, Mr. Maritz was a Partner in Infrafonix (Pty) Ltd., which manufactured, audio cassettes, installed cable TV and video security systems into commercial buildings.

1979 to 1985, Mr. Maritz had overlapping responsibilities with Livanos Brothers Electrical, where he served as Contracts Manager and supervised a staff of 50. During this time, he successfully completed an electrification project for 45,000 homes in Soweto.

Mr. Maritz is a graduate of Johannesburg Technical College in NDT Electrical Engineering H/C, and he is qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Safety Standards Act and Regulations as a “Field Safety Representative”. Mr. Maritz is fluent in Afrikaans.
